Pathfinders Retreats

Caring-Men’s Retreat

A small-group, weekend retreat for male mental health providers to reconnect to the purpose of their work and to recreate the energy needed to do that work.
Friday evening, March 20, through noon on Sunday, March 22, 2020.
This will be an opportunity to connect with other caring men on the unique challenges we face in the field.

The retreat is limited to 12 mental health providers who identify as male. These can be clinicians licensed as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCDC, or Psychologist. The retreat will be held at Camp Allen, near Navasota, about an hour northwest of Houston, an hour southwest of Huntsville, or two hours east of Austin.

The weekend will include some guided sessions on mindfulness, wellness planning, and how to reconnect with your mission for your professional life. There will also be plenty of downtime and opportunity for leisure activities in the quietness of this lovely camp in the Piney Woods.

The cost of the retreat ($795 double occupancy, $945 single occupancy) covers lodging for two nights, all retreat activities including 6 CE hours (including 1 ethics hour), breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, lunch and dinner on Saturday, a campfire on Saturday evening, and a horseback trail ride. Since folks will arrive at different times on Friday evening, everyone will need to grab some dinner on their way to the camp.

Rules for retreat:
You may arrive any time after 4pm, but you must arrive by 8pm on Friday and stay until noon on Sunday.
You must turn off your cell phone from 7am-8pm on Saturday (except during lunch).
You must be willing to keep any discussions held during the weekend confidential.
